Uses
As a water treatment agent, cyanuric acid is mainly used as a disinfectant in swimming pools. When cyanuric acid comes into contact with bacteria and organic substances in water, it produces a highly effective oxidant that can kill harmful bacteria and viruses in water, while removing organic substances and odors.
Mainly used in the production of cyanuric acid bromide, chloride, bromine chloride, iodine chloride, and cyanuric acid salts, esters.
Used in the synthesis of new bactericidal disinfectants, water treatment agents, bleaching agents, chlorinating agents, brominating agents, antioxidants, paint coatings, selective herbicides, and metal cyanide moderators.
It can also be directly used as a chlorine stabilizer for swimming pools, flame retardants for nylon, plastics, polyester, cosmetics additives, and the synthesis of specialized resins.
