Physical and chemical properties:
Chloroacetic acid is colorless or yellowish crystal.
Melting point: 61 ℃ - 63 ℃, boiling point: 187 ℃ - 191 ℃.
Easily deliquescent, soluble in water and ethanol. It is highly corrosive and can damage metal, rubber and cork.
Main uses of the product:
1. Used in the manufacture of carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC).
2. It is used in the pharmaceutical industry to prepare intermediates for the synthesis of caffeine, adrenaline, aminoacetic acid, vitamin B6, aureomycin, etc.
3. In the pesticide industry, it is used as an intermediate for the preparation of dimethoate, naphthylacetic acid, thiocyanoacetic acid, isozyl ester, herbicide, herbicide, etc.
4. It is used to produce indigo and related dyes in the dye industry.
5. It is used as an analytical chemical reagent and an intermediate in a variety of organic synthesis.
Packaging, transportation and storage:
Chloroacetic acid is packed in polypropylene woven bags lined with double-layer plastic bags, with a net weight of 50kg each. During transportation and storage, it shall be strictly protected from rain and humidity and placed in a ventilated and dry place. The shelf life is one year at room temperature.

Chloroacetic acid is a strong corrosive substance. It is strictly prohibited to contact with skin. In case of accidental contact, wash with plenty of water in time.
