3-Mercaptopropionic acid（3MPA）
The product is an intermediate of fenalol, also used as a stabilizer of PVC. It is also used as an antioxidant, catalyst and biochemical reagent.
Role of mercapto propionic acid in polycarboxylic acid superplasticizer: high performance regulator, control molecular weight of polycarboxylic acid superplasticizer, improve the water reduction rate and slump protection performance of concrete. Improve the copolymerization rate of monomer carboxylic acid monomer, as chain transfer agent, adjust the molecular weight of water reducer.To achieve both the initial reduction of water and the subsequent retention,regulate the adsorption process of polycarboxylic acid molecules.
