The antibacterial spectrum is similar to piperacillin, mainly gram-negative bacilli. It also has antibacterial effect on Streptococcus (including Enterococcus) and Bacteroides. It has significant synergistic effect with aminoglycoside antibiotics combined with . It is mainly used for gram-negative bacilli such as Escherichia coli, Enterobacter and Proteus, as well as infections and sepsis of respiratory system, urinary system, digestive system, gynecology, reproductive organs, skin and soft tissue caused by Bacteroides and some other anaerobic bacteria.
