Precautions For Storage And Transportation
The storage period of 98% solid acrylamide shall be stored not longer than 6 months at room temperature. Liquid acrylamide can be stored ranging from 3 days to 3 months depending on the various shelf life of polymerization inhibitor and conductivity. If the self-polymerization does not occur after the storage period, it can still be used. Attention shall be paid to ensure the safety of people and animals during the transportation, and it is strictly prohibited to suck into the body or touch the skin.
Acrylamide is the most important product of acrylamide and methacrylamide. Since it was used in industry in 1954, it needs to increase gradually. The polyacrylamide can be used as an additive to improve the recovery rate of petroleum; It is used as flocculant, thickener and papermaking auxiliary. A small amount of acrylamide is used to introduce hydrophilic center into oleophilic polymer to improve viscosity, softening point and solvent resistance of resin, and to introduce a center for the color receptivity of dye. Acrylamide is also often used as a component of photosensitive polymers.
