Physicochemical properties: yellow powder. Melting point 185.5 ℃, boiling point 371 ℃, 290 ℃ (5.33kpa), insoluble in petroleum ether, chloroform and water, soluble in ether and hot acetic acid. The air will be oxidized in the presence of light.

Application: phenothiazine is an intermediate of fine chemicals such as drugs and dyes. It itself is an auxiliary agent for synthetic materials (polymerization inhibitor for the production of vinylon), fruit tree insecticide and veterinary anthelmintic. It has significant effects on stomach twister, nodular worm, mouth suppressor nematode, charlestonian nematode and fine neck nematode of sheep, cattle and horses.

Typical Properties

This product is mainly used as an excellent polymerization inhibitor of alkenyl monomer and is widely used in the production of acrylic acid, acrylate, methacrylate and vinyl acetate. It is also used in the synthesis of drugs and dyes, polyether, antioxidant and rubber antioxidant. It is also used as anthelmintic for livestock and insecticide for fruit trees.
