Corrosion inhibition mechanism
N on the heterocyclic alkyl pyridine ring has a pair of isolated electrons. Combined with the benzene ring structure, n becomes an active group, which can be adsorbed on the metal surface through electrostatic adsorption and the formation of valence bonds. The alkyl groups on the ring are non-polar groups. These groups between molecules form a hydrophobic adsorption layer through the action of cohesion, etc., which is attached to the surface of the steel sample, separating the corrosion medium from the metal surface and preventing the anodic process or cathodic process. After quaternization, it contains quaternary ammonium cations, which are more easily adsorbed on the metal surface to form an adsorption film, showing excellent corrosion inhibition effect.

Scope of use
