Typical Properties

Methylprednisolone is a kind of synthetic glucocorticoid, which has typical glucocorticoid effects, such as anti-inflammatory effect, inhibition of immune response and so on. Compared with hydrocortisone, the representative of glucocorticoid, its anti-inflammatory effect is four times that of hydrocortisone, but only 80% of the action of mineralocorticoid.
