Astragaloside is a triterpenoid saponin of cyclic Altyn type. It is one of the main effective components in Astragalus membranaceus. Its content is the main standard to evaluate the quality of Astragalus membranaceus. Astragaloside has a wide range of pharmacological effects and broad prospects in anti-tumor, anti-inflammatory, anti-oxidation, hypoglycemic, myocardial protection, anti viral myocarditis, brain protection, anti hepatitis B virus and so on.
