The main purpose:
P-Chlorophenol is mainly used in pesticides, medicine, dyes, plastics and other industries. It is also used as a denaturant for alcohol and a selective solvent for refined mineral oil. It can also be used for microscope analysis and plant growth promoter.
It is used to synthesize dyes, reacting with dilute nitric acid to generate mono- and dinitro compounds are dye intermediates; it can further synthesize a variety of dyes, such as neutral brilliant green BL.
