Origanum Oil is an antibacterial drug extracted from the natural plant oregano. The main components of the volatile oil are kaempferol and thymol. It has strong surface activity and fat solubility. The most sensitive pathogens to oregano oil are Streptococcus, Staphylococcus, Escherichia coli, Salmonella, Klebsiella and Enterococcus. It is mainly used to prevent diarrhea caused by Escherichia coli and Salmonella in piglets and chickens.
