Potassium Hydroxide
Synonymous: caustic potassium
Molecular formula: KOH
Molecular weight: 56.11
Specifications:
Industrial grade potassium hydroxide content ≥90.0%
Physical and chemical properties:
· White powder or flake solid.
· Melting point 360 ~ 406 ℃, boiling point 1320 ~ 1324 ℃, relative density 2.044g/cm, flash point 52 ° F, refractive index N20 / D1 421, steam pressure 1mmhg (719 ℃).
· Highly alkaline and corrosive. It is very easy to absorb moisture in the air and deliquesce, and absorb carbon dioxide to form potassium carbonate.
Dissolve in about 0.6 parts of hot water, 0.9 parts of cold water, 3 parts of 2.5 parts of glycerol. A large amount of heat is generated when dissolved in or treated with acid.
· The pH of 0.1mol/l solution is 13.5. Moderate toxicity, LD50 (rat, oral) 1230mg / kg. Soluble in slightly soluble. It is highly alkaline and corrosive, and its properties are similar to caustic soda.
Packaging:
25kg / original packaging, inner plastic outer woven bag, moisture-proof packaging
Purpose:
This product is widely used in the production of the following products: K 2 CO 3 (including KHCO 3), disproportionated rosin potassium soap, detergent, high grade daily cosmetics, potassium phosphate, potassium silicate, Potassium Permanganate, pharmaceutical intermediates, liquid fertilizer, synthetic rubber, ABS resin and natural rubber latex, paper component, hair alcohol, agricultural fertilizer, cresol, petroleum refining sulfur removal, alkaline battery and so on.
