Dalian Chemical (Jiangsu) Co., Ltd. is a wholly-owned investment company of Taiwan Dalian Chemical Industry Co., Ltd. The factory is located at No. 1, Dalian Road, Yangzhou Chemical Industry Park. Phase I project was commissioned and put into operation in mid April 2004 to produce ethylene vinyl acetate copolymer latex (EVA latex), VAE powder, 1,4 butanediol (BDO), polytetramethyl ether glycol (PTMEG), propylene alcohol, 2-methyl 1,3 propylene glycol (MPO), n-propanol (NPA), isobutanol (IBA) and other by-products. Ethylene vinyl acetate copolymer latex (EVA latex) is mainly used for PVC, various plastic films and porous substrates, such as paper, wood, fiber, cotton cloth, PU foam, etc. it can also be widely used in civil buildings as cement reinforcement and waterproof agent. 1,4 butanediol (BDO) is mainly used as raw materials for the manufacture of PBT, PU, THF, PTMEG, GBL, polyester plasticizer and Pu chain extender. Polytetramethyl ether glycol (PTMEG) is mainly used in the manufacture of spandex spandex, elastomer, synthetic leather, paint and coating, etc. Dalian Chemical (Jiangsu) Co., Ltd. and BASF (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. have become the main suppliers in the mainland. The second phase project of the company was started in April 2005. The propylene alcohol auxiliary project was constructed in advance and put into production in the spring of 2006. Propylene alcohol is an intermediate of medicine, pesticide and perfume. Its main derivatives and uses are: for the synthesis of epichlorohydrin, glycerol, 1,4-butanediol, allyl ketone, plasticizer and engineering plastics. In addition, its carbonate can be used as optical resin, safety glass and display screen, and its ether can be used as polymer tackifier.
