Iprazole is a powerful proton pump inhibitor. It works by interfering with the proton pump secreting gastric acid on gastric parietal cells. Its effect of inhibiting gastric acid is the strongest among similar drugs.

Pharmacological action: Prazole is an irreversible proton pump inhibitor, and its structure belongs to benzimidazole. After oral administration, iprazole selectively enters the gastric parietal cells and is transformed into the active metabolite of hyposulfonamide, which forms covalent binding of disulfide bond with the hydrophobic effect on H + K + - ATPase, irreversibly inhibits H + / K + - ATPase and inhibits gastric acid secretion.

Application: at present, iprazole is mainly used for gastric erosion, gastritis, reflux esophagitis, peptic ulcer, Helicobacter pylori and other infections.
