1. Combustible, hydrazine hydrate decomposes into N2, NH3, H2 # and other toxic or flammable nitrogen oxides at high temperature. Contact with cotton, wood or fiber in the air can cause spontaneous combustion.
2. Strong reducibility. Under normal temperature, it can react violently with oxidants such as halogen, HNO3, KMnO4 and H2O2, resulting in high heat and fire and explosion. It reacts violently with mercury oxide, metal sodium, stannous chloride and 2,4-dinitrochlorobenzene, and can decompose and burn itself in contact with a variety of metal oxides.

application area
A. For synthetic foaming agent:

B. For synthetic pesticides:
There are more than 100 kinds of pesticides synthesized with hydrazine hydrate and triazole, a derivative of hydrazine.
C. Pharmaceutical industry:
There are many kinds of medicines synthesized with hydrazine hydrate and its derivatives, including cephalosporin drug series and rifampicin.
D. Used as deoxidizer:
Because hydrazine is reductive, it reacts with oxygen to produce nitrogen and water. It has the characteristics of non-toxic, non-corrosive and rapid deoxidation. Therefore, it is commonly used as water medium deoxidizer. The one with large dosage Z is boiler feed water deoxidation.
