R6638
Product Characteristics
R6638 is a rutile titanium dioxide with surface modification by an inorganic coating of silicon and aluminum and organic treatment agent. It has a uniform and moderate particle size distribution and excellent water dispersion, covering power, weather resistance and other characteristics. It can be applied to water-based systems such as papermaking, water-based coatings (especially inner and outer wall emulsion paint) and water-based ink with high requirements for water dispersion.

Application fields
Water-based ink and coating
1. Application in the papermaking industry
The paper industry is the third largest user of titanium dioxide. As a paper filler, the paper using titanium dioxide has good whiteness, high strength, luster, thin and smooth, and does not penetrate during printing. The application of nano titanium dioxide in the paper industry can make the paper bright, UV resistant, stable and not easy to yellowing. Titanium dioxide for paper making generally uses anatase titanium dioxide without surface treatment, which can play the role of fluorescent brightener and increase the whiteness of the paper. However, the laminated paper requires the use of rutile titanium dioxide with a surface treatment to meet the requirements of light resistance and heat resistance.
2. Application in the coating industry
Pigment-grade titanium dioxide is non-toxic, good whiteness, high refractive index, strong achromatic power, large hiding power, good dispersion, stable physical and chemical properties, and has excellent optical and electrical properties. As a pigment, titanium dioxide can play a role in industrial production, such as coloring, brightening and improving product quality. Pigment-grade titanium dioxide with particle size between 200 ~ 400nm not only has the properties of electrostatic shielding, ultraviolet shielding, wear resistance and scratch resistance, but also can improve the adhesion of the coating and prevent the coating from sagging.
The surface of TiOEX - 7 series products is treated with a high-density inorganic coating, which has superior optical properties and presents brighter and clearer colors in the colored system of the blue phase. At the same time, titanium dioxide has strong weather resistance, covering power, achromatic power, and easy dispersion.
3. Application in the ink industry
Titanium dioxide/Titania is light-resistant, heat-resistant, weather-resistant, and hydrophobic, with a high refractive index, small and uniform particle size, good whiteness and light diffusion, strong coloring power and covering power, and good physical and chemical stability. Titania has become an indispensable white pigment in ink manufacturing, and also a necessary raw material for the deployment of many intermediate color ink products. The ink containing titanium dioxide is easy to disperse, durable and has good surface wettability. Adding the pigment-grade titanium dioxide to the water-based ink can make the ink strong in coloring, easy to disperse, and durable.

Titanium dioxide is an important inorganic chemical pigment, which is mainly composed of titanium dioxide. It has important applications in coatings, ink, paper, plastic, rubber, chemical fiber, ceramics and other industries. Titanium dioxide is not only used as colorant in rubber industry, but also has the function of reinforcing, anti-aging and filling. Titanium dioxide is added into white and color rubber products. Under sunlight, it is resistant to sunlight, cracking, discoloration, high elongation and acid-base resistance. Titanium dioxide for rubber, mainly used in automobile tires and rubber shoes, rubber floor, gloves, sports equipment, etc., is mainly anatase. However, a certain amount of rutile products are often added in the production of automobile tires to enhance the ability of anti ozone and anti ultraviolet. Titanium dioxide is widely used in cosmetics. Because titanium dioxide is nontoxic and far superior to lead white, almost all kinds of perfumes use titanium dioxide to replace lead white and zinc white. Only 5% - 8% titanium dioxide can be added to the fragrance powder to get permanent white, which makes the fragrance more greasy and has adhesion, absorption and covering power. In gouache and cold cream, titanium dioxide can reduce the feeling of greasy and transparent. Titanium dioxide can also be used in other spices, sunscreen, soap tablets, white soap and toothpaste.
