Phenyl chloroformate is an important fine chemical intermediate. The main synthesis method of phenyl chloroformate is phosgene method. Phenol is dissolved in chloroform, phosgene is introduced under cooling, the amount of absorbed phosgene is compared with that of phenol and other substances, and the amount of N, N-dimethylaniline is added dropwise under stirring at 5-10 ℃. Then add cold water to dilute, separate the oil layer, and wash it with dilute hydrochloric acid and water in turn. After drying with anhydrous calcium chloride, chloroform is recovered by distillation, and then rectified under reduced pressure. The fraction at 74-75 ° C (1.73kpa) is collected, which is phenyl chloroformate, with a yield of about 90%.
