Purpose：Cefoperazone sodium is a salt form of sodium, cefoperazone and semi synthetic, broad-spectrum, β- Lactamase resistance, the third generation cephalosporin antibiotics, with bactericidal activity. Cefoperazone sodium inhibits bacterial cell wall synthesis by inactivating penicillin binding protein (PBP), thereby interfering with the final peptide transfer step required for the crosslinking of peptidoglycan units as a component of bacterial cell wall. This leads to decreased cell wall stability and cell lysis.
