Carbazole can be used to produce dyes, pigments, photoconductors, photosensitive materials, special inks, etc. the pigment YONGGU purple RL produced by it is widely used in the coloring of automobile topcoats and high-temperature resistant plastics. It has the advantages of high temperature resistance and ultraviolet light resistance. The dyes produced with it have excellent fastness indexes, especially the excellent fastness to chlorine bleaching. The blue varieties include carbazole IDM, carbazole LR, carbazole LB and carbazole l3b, and the black varieties include carbazole black D. It also produces carbazole dioxazine violet, a cyan pigment used in coatings, printing inks, carbon paper, etc. Carbazole is used in the production of sulfide reduction blue Rnx, direct sun resistant blue FFRL, ffgl, etc. It can be used to make leather, N-vinyl carbazole plastic, pesticide, tetranitrocarbazole and chlorinated carbazole, and can also be used to manufacture UV sensitive photographic dry films.
