APP Phase II/Coated APP

KYLIN APP Phase II is a non-halogen flame retardant. It acts as a flame retardant by intumescence mechanism. Based on our own raw materials, this series has a high ‘n’ value, which is always higher than 1000. It has higher thermal stability and lower water solubility.

By being treated with different materials on the surface, the properties of APP PHASE II are modified and suitable for more specific applications. Micronized grade available (less than 10µm)

Typical Properties

Ammonium polyphosphate, also known as ammonium polyphosphate (APP), is non-toxic and tasteless, does not produce corrosive gas and has high thermal stability. Once the polymer surface is precipitated, it is easy to absorb moisture and water-soluble and hydrolyze in a humid environment, which affects the weather resistance and electrical properties of polymers and limits its application range.
