Properties

Litsea cubeba oil is a natural plant essential oil obtained by steam distillation of Litsea cubeba fruit, skin and leaves. It has a strong lemon flavor. Its main component is citral, and its content is generally 60% ~ 80%. Litsea cubeba oil has strong bactericidal and insect resistant activities. It can inhibit or kill more than ten kinds of pathogenic bacteria such as Staphylococcus aureus, Neisseria gonorrhoeae and Escherichia coli, and many kinds of molds such as Candida, Trichophyton, Aspergillus niger, Aspergillus flavus and Aspergillus fumigatus.
