Properties: Yellowish transparent liquid.B.P.110℃(0.1mPa), .M.P.10℃, density d₄²⁸1.5072, Insoluble in water, soluble in organic solvent such as acetone, xylene and methanol. Stable in neutrality and weak acid medium. But hydrolyzed in strong acid and strong alkaline medium. Sensitive to u.v. light. It can remain good quality for 2 years at normal temperature.

Toxicity: Acute oral LD₅₀to rats 500mg/kg, moderate toxic.

Application: It is used for controlling mosquitoes with effective knockdown power. Its bioefficacy is over 17 times higher than of D-allethrin.
