TY-423 is a long-chain ammonium polyphosphate. The crystal modification is phase II. (n≥ 1000). It is non-flammable, largely insoluble in water, stable and compatible with some polymers.
Ammonium polyphosphate is an environmentally friendly halogen free flame retardant, which develops its effectiveness through phosphorus / nitrogen synergism. It is usually used with charring agent and foaming agent. The flame retardant treated material foams on exposure to flame. The carbon foam layer so formed protects the polymer through its heat-insulating effect.

TY-423 can be used with charring agent and foaming agent in the processing of the fire retardant treatment of PE/PP/PU materials, oxygen molecules material or high-grade intumescent fireproof materials ,which can provide good flame retardant efficiency .
