Physicochemical properties: This product is colorless transparent liquid. Soluble in water. Insoluble in absolute ethanol, ether and benzene. It has strong reducibility at high temperature. It has fading property. Decomposition at high temperature produces formaldehyde, hydrogen sulfide and other toxic gases. It decomposes in case of dilute acid, and its solution is neutral. The melting point of anhydrous matter is 63 ~ 64 ℃. The surface density is 1.80 ~ 1.85g/cm3.
Product use: This product is used as a whitening agent, reducing agent, bleaching agent and in the production of indigo dyes and reducing dyes in the printing and dyeing industry. It can also be used in the polymerization of synthetic rubber, sugar and ethylene compounds.
