With an annual output of 3000 tons of refined acetonitrile, also known as methyl nitrile, the molecular formula is c2h3n, and the molecular weight is 41.05. Colorless transparent liquid, highly volatile, has a special smell similar to ether, has excellent solvent performance, and is an important organic intermediate. The biggest use of acetonitrile is as a solvent, which can be used to synthesize vitamin A, cortisone, carboamine drugs and their intermediates, as well as the active medium solvent for the manufacture of vitamin B1 and amino acids. It can replace chlorinated solvent. It is used in vinyl coating, fatty acid extractant, alcohol denaturant, butadiene extractant and solvent of acrylonitrile synthetic fiber. It is also used in fabric dyeing, lighting industry, perfume manufacturing and photosensitive material manufacturing.
