Analysis method 1. Product analysis: in absolute ethanol, determine it at 281nm by UV spectrophotometry (acfchemiefarma method). 2. Residue analysis: extract with chloroform from acidic medium, shake and absorb its methanol solution with petroleum ether (40 ~ 60 ℃), and then use high performance liquid chromatography for ultraviolet detection (acfchemiefarma method). It can also be derived into trimethyl ester of methyl ester or methylsilane by referring to the residue analysis method of indoleacetic acid, and then analyzed by gas chromatography.
Application: indole butyric acid (IBA) is a broad-spectrum indole plant growth regulator and a good rooting agent, which can promote the rooting of cuttings of herbaceous and woody ornamental plants. It can also be used for fruit setting of melons and fruits to improve the fruit setting rate.
