。Half life data
The reactivity of an organic peroxide is usually given by its half life (t1/2) at various
temperatures. For LQ-TBPV in chlorobenzene:
t 0.1 hr 1 hr 10 hr
at 94℃ 75℃ 57℃
。Storage
LQ-TBPV Ts max. = -5℃ and
Ts min. = -15℃ to prevent crystallization
。Packaging and transport
The standard packaging is a 30-liter HDPE can for 25 kg peroxide solution. Both packaging and
transport meet the international regulations.
LQ-TBPV is classified as Organic peroxide type C; liquid, temperature controlled; Division
5.2; UN 3113; PG II.
Rail (RID) and air (ICAO-TI/IATA-DGR) transport are forbidden.
。Major decomposition products
Carbon dioxide, Isobutene, tert-Butanol, Acetone, Isobutane
。Application
Polymerization of ethylene
LQ-TBPVis an efficient initiator for the ethylene polymerization under high pressure in both
autoclave and tubular processes.
Polymerization of vinylchloride
LQ-TBPV is used as an initiator for the suspension and mass polymerization of vinylchloride
between 50°C and 70℃.
