Chemical nature, colorless and clear liquid with strong ammonia odor. Can be dissolved in solvents such as water, ethanol, diethyl ether, acetone and benzene. For use, n-propylamine is used as an organic synthetic feedstock in pharmaceuticals, coatings, textiles and as a finishing agent, petroleum additives and preservatives in chemical Book resins, but also as a reagent, among others. N-propylamine, for example, is used to synthesize propylisocyanate, chlorpropanamine, propylcarbamate, which are textile finishing agents.
