Methylis salicylas can be used in food flavoring formula. It is a food flavour temporarily permitted by GB2760 1996 in China. Its ADI value is between 0 and 0.5. It is often used to blend strawberry, vanilla, grape and other fruit flavors in food and beer, and also to add flavors to fructose and soft drinks. In addition, methyl salicylate is also used in preservatives, pesticides, polishing agents, inks, paints, polyester fiber dyeing carriers and other industrial fields.
