Potassium Antimonyl Tartrate Sesquihydrate

Molecular weight: 333.94

Properties: colorless transparent crystal or white crystalline powder. The relative density is 2.607. It is easily soluble in boiling water. In 100ml water, the solubility is 8.3g at 25 º C and 35.9g at 100 º C. Soluble in glycerol, insoluble in ethanol. No smell, sweet and metallic. Crystals are weathered. Its aqueous solution is slightly acidic.

Uses: used as analytical agent (such as determination of lead, sodium, germanium, etc.), mordant for fabric and leather shoes, color fixing agent for basic dyes and nylon acid dyes, as well as making insecticides and anti schistosomiasis drugs.

Packaging: 25kg composite paper bag, lined with polyethylene bag, or 50kg iron barrel.

Properties

Potassium antimonyl tartrate sesquihydrate is used as a mordant for cotton dyeing with reducing dyes in the printing and dyeing industry. After dyeing with acid dyes, it can be treated with the solution of potassium antimony tartrate, tannic acid and formic acid to improve the water washing and soaping fastness of the fabric. The leather industry is used as a mordant for leather. The pharmaceutical industry is used as an emetic and an injection for schistosomiasis.
