Introduction: it is prepared from O-Xylene by oxidation reaction. It is a white crystalline solid at room temperature and can be used instead of phthalic acid. It is the raw material of plasticizer, unsaturated polyester resin, alkyd resin and dye/pigment.

Chemical properties: white acicular crystal with a slight odor. Soluble in benzene, pyridine and ethyl ether.

Application: it is one of the important organic chemical raw materials. It is used in the production of plasticizers, alkyd resin, unsaturated polyester resin, dyes and pigments, medicine and pesticides
