Purpose：Gemcitabine is a pyrimidine nucleotide analogue, which belongs to anti metabolic anticancer drugs. It mainly acts on DNA synthesis phase, i.e. S phase. Under certain conditions, it can prevent the progress of chemical Book G1 phase to S phase. It has the characteristics of wide anticancer spectrum, unique mechanism of action, low toxicity, no cross resistance with other chemotherapeutic drugs and no superposition of toxicity.
