Product characteristics:

2-acrylamide-2-methylpropanesulfonic acid is an olefinic monomer with sulfonic acid group. Its structural formula contains strong anionic and water-soluble sulfonic acid group, shielded amide group and unsaturated double bond, which makes it have excellent comprehensive properties, good complexability, adsorption, biological activity, surface activity, hydrolysis stability and thermal stability. In aqueous solution, the hydrolysis rate of AMPS monomer is very slow. The aqueous solution of its sodium salt, especially when the pH value is greater than 9, has excellent hydrolysis resistance. Under acidic conditions, the hydrolysis resistance of AMPS homopolymer is much higher than that of polyacrylamide. It can be used for copolymerization and addition reaction. It can be widely used in various fields such as water treatment, oilfield chemistry, chemical fiber, water absorbing materials, plastics, coatings, papermaking, textile, printing and dyeing, biomedicine, magnetic materials and cosmetics.

Physical and chemical properties

This product is white crystalline grain, melting point 185 ℃, slightly sour, with strong moisture absorption. In case of moisture, amps monomer will have a party by itself. It is soluble in acidic acetone and methanol, and partially soluble in dimethylamide.

Purpose:

1. Water treatment: homopolymer of AMPS monomer or copolymer with acrylamide, acrylic acid and other monomers can be used as sludge dehydrating agent in sewage purification process and as preservative of iron, zinc, aluminum, copper and alloy in closed water circulation system; It can also be used as descaling agent and scale inhibitor for heaters, cooling towers, air purifiers and gas purifiers.

2. Oilfield Chemistry: the application of products in oilfield chemistry has developed rapidly. The scope includes oil well cement admixture, drilling fluid treatment agent, acidizing fluid, fracturing fluid, completion fluid and workover fluid additives.

3. Synthetic fiber: amps is an important monomer to improve the comprehensive properties of some synthetic fibers, especially acrylic fiber or nitrile chlorine fiber. Its dosage is 1% - 4% of the fiber, which can significantly improve the whiteness, dyeability, antistatic, air permeability and flame retardancy of the fiber.

4. Textile size: copolymer of 2-acrylamide-2-methylpropanesulfonic acid, ethyl acetate and enoic acid. It is an ideal size for cotton and polyester blended fabrics. It is easy to use and easy to remove with water.

5. Papermaking: the copolymer of 2-acrylamido-2-methylpropanesulfonic acid and other water-soluble monomers is an indispensable chemical for all kinds of paper mills. It can be used as drainage assistant and sizing agent to increase the strength of paper. It can also be used as pigment dispersant for color coating.

6. Polycarboxylic acid water reducer: it is used in the synthesis link and plays the role of good dispersion and high water reduction rate.
