   Properties: This product is brown or tan powder or granules, no lumps, mold, and odorless.

   Pharmacological action: Chlortetracycline is a broad-spectrum antibiotic of the tetracycline class. It has a strong effect on Gram-positive bacteria such as Staphylococcus, Streptococcus hemolyticus, Bacillus anthracis, Clostridium tetani and Clostridium, but not as good as β-lactam kind. It is more sensitive to Gram-negative bacteria such as Escherichia coli, Salmonella, Brucella and Pasteurella, but not as good as aminoglycoside and amide alcohol antibiotics. This product also has an inhibitory effect on rickettsia, chlamydia, mycoplasma, spirochetes, actinomycetes and certain protozoa.

   Drug interactions: Chlortetracycline can form insoluble complexes with multivalent metal ions such as magnesium, calcium, aluminum, iron, zinc, and manganese, thereby affecting the absorption of drugs. Therefore, it is not suitable to be taken with drugs, feeds and dairy products containing the above-mentioned polyvalent metal ions.

   Role and use: antibiotic drugs. It is used to treat diarrhea in weaned piglets; treat asthma and proliferative enteritis in pigs.

   The usage and dosage are based on this product. Mixed feeding: pig 2.67～4kg per 1000 kg of feed. Use for 7 days.

   Adverse reactions According to the prescribed usage and dosage, no adverse reactions have been seen.

   Note: Chlortetracycline should not be used 2 days before vaccination of swine erysipelas and 10 days after vaccination.

   Withdrawal period: 7 days for pigs.
