Titanium dioxide is an important inorganic chemical pigment, mainly composed of titanium dioxide. The production process of titanium dioxide includes sulfuric acid method and chlorination method. It has important applications in coating, ink, paper making, plastic rubber, chemical fiber, ceramics and other industries
1) Rutile titanium dioxide: combined with the production quality control experience of rutile titanium dioxide by sulfuric acid method, it integrates innovative research in the inorganic coating, organic treatment, salt treatment, calcination control, hydrolysis and product application, and adopts advanced color and particle size control, zirconium silicon aluminum phosphorus multi-component inorganic coating and new organic treatment technology. The new generation of high-grade general-purpose (water-based) rutile titanium dioxide is suitable for various construction coatings, industrial paints, anti-corrosion paints, inks, powder coatings and other industries.
2) Anatase titanium dioxide: anatase titanium dioxide, i.e. type a titanium dioxide. Anatase titanium dioxide is an excellent white powder pigment with good light scattering ability, so it has good whiteness, high coloring power, strong hiding power, high chemical stability and good weather resistance. It is non-toxic and tasteless and has no irritating effect on the human body. It is widely used in many industrial fields, such as coatings, plastics, paper and ink
1. High whiteness, blue bottom phase, fine particle size and narrow distribution.
2. It has strong UV absorption capacity, excellent outdoor weather resistance, and strong pulverization resistance.
3. Excellent hiding power and achromatic power, good dispersion.
4. With good stability and other characteristics, the products are bright in color and high in gloss.
Titanium Dioxide Characteristics
Titanium dioxide has excellent processability, and excellent optical properties, and the characteristics of fine particle size, good particle size distribution, white color, and easy dispersion in the plastic masterbatch. Titanium dioxide is especially recommended for polyolefin master batch and can be used with many polymers and in mixing when durability is not a key element.
Scope of Application
Titanium dioxide for plastic masterbatch is especially used in the manufacturing of various medium and high-grade plastic masterbatches, plastic floor adhesives, PVC, pipes, rubber products, linoleum, color wallpaper, injection molding and compression molding materials and other plastic industries, as well as PVC, polystyrene, polyolefin and engineering plastics.
Titanium Dioxide Characteristics
Pigment-grade titanium dioxide is non-toxic, good whiteness, high refractive index, strong achromatic power, large hiding power, good dispersion, stable physical and chemical properties, and has excellent optical and electrical properties. As a pigment, titanium dioxide can play a role in industrial production, such as coloring, brightening and improving product quality. Pigment-grade titanium dioxide with particle size between 200 ~ 400nm not only has the properties of electrostatic shielding, ultraviolet shielding, wear resistance and scratch resistance, but also can improve the adhesion of the coating and prevent the coating from sagging.
Scope of Application
Water-based paint, emulsion paint, interior and exterior wall paint, industrial paint, solvent-based paint, water-based products and other industries.
Titanium Dioxide Characteristics
Titanium dioxide/Titania is light-resistant, heat-resistant, weather-resistant, and hydrophobic, with a high refractive index, small and uniform particle size, good whiteness and light diffusion, strong coloring power and covering power, and good physical and chemical stability. Titania has become an indispensable white pigment in ink manufacturing, and also a necessary raw material for the deployment of many intermediate color ink products. The ink containing titanium dioxide is easy to disperse, durable and has good surface wettability. Adding the pigment-grade titanium dioxide to the water-based ink can make the ink strong in coloring, easy to disperse, and durable.
Scope of Application
Printing ink, offset printing ink, gravure composite film ink, baking iron printing ink, etc.
Titanium Dioxide Characteristics
The paper industry is the third largest user of titanium dioxide. As a paper filler, the paper using titanium dioxide has good whiteness, high strength, luster, thin and smooth, and does not penetrate during printing. The application of nano titanium dioxide in the paper industry can make the paper bright, UV resistant, stable and not easy to yellowing. Titanium dioxide for paper making generally uses anatase titanium dioxide without surface treatment, which can play the role of fluorescent brightener and increase the whiteness of the paper. However, the laminated paper requires the use of rutile titanium dioxide with a surface treatment to meet the requirements of light resistance and heat resistance.
Scope of Application
Titanium dioxide is mainly used in high-grade paper and thin paper.
Titanium Dioxide Characteristics
Titanium dioxide/Titania can be used not only as a colorant in the rubber industry but also as a reinforcement, filling, anti-aging and acid-base resistance. Adding titanium dioxide to white and light-colored rubber products can make the finished products acid-base resistant, noncracking, non fading, improve the strength and elongation of products, and delay aging.
Scope of Application
Titanium dioxide is mainly used for automobile tires, rubber shoes, rubber floor gloves, sports equipment, etc. Generally, Titania is mainly an anatase type.
1. Textile Chemical Fiber
Titanium dioxide is mainly used as a matting agent in the chemical fiber industry. Although the refractive index of rutile titanium dioxide is higher than that of anatase titanium dioxide, its atomic arrangement is dense, its hardness is greater than that of anatase titanium dioxide, and titania is easy to wear spinnerets and wire cutters. Therefore, anatase titanium dioxide without surface treatment is usually used as the matting agent of chemical fibers. Only when some special varieties in order to reduce the photochemical effect of titanium dioxide and avoid the degradation of fibers under the photocatalysis of titanium dioxide, the surface treated titanium dioxide used.
2. Battery Industry
Titanium dioxide can be used to produce dye-sensitized solar cells. The photoelectric conversion efficiency of titanium dioxide can be improved by adding nano gold, silver, platinum and other precious metal particles, non-metallic ions, transition metal complexes and so on to the surface of titanium dioxide electrode. Titanium dioxide can also be used as the electronic buffer material of perovskite solar cells, as well as the cathode material of lithium-ion batteries and sodium ion batteries.
3. Electronic Industry
Titanium dioxide for electronic ceramic materials requires high purity, less impurities, fine particles, large specific surface area, high reduction resistance, high dielectric constant and resistance. Therefore, titanium dioxide for capacitors or reagents is usually used in the electronic industry.
