Feed additive dibutyl hydroxytoluene (BHT): also known as dibutyl hydroxytoluene; Antioxidant 200; Antioxidant 264; Antioxidant and sealant T501; Antioxidant 264; Antioxidant t510; Antioxidant BHT; Antioxidant BHT.
Usage: it can be used as feed antioxidant to protect vitamins in feed and prevent oxidation loss of fat and protein. It also has certain antibacterial effect. The maximum dosage is 150g/t. BHT is an oil soluble antioxidant widely used at home and abroad. Although it is highly toxic, it has strong antioxidant capacity, good heat resistance and stability. It has neither specific odor nor color reaction with metal ions. It is also cheap, only 1/8-1/5 of BHA. It is still used as the main antioxidant in China. It is generally used in combination with BHA, and citric acid or other organic acids are used as synergists.
