2.Physicochemical properties
Needle-like crystal of glittering red. Melting point is 253-256 °C,and can be sublimated. Soluble in hot nitrobenzene, toluene, xylene, ethyl ether, sulfuric acid, chloroform, benzene. Slightly soluble in cold alcohol, insoluble in water.

Important intermediates of vat dyes, disperse dyes and reactive dyes.
