Introduction: tungsten is a rare metal and an important strategic material. China is a large country producing tungsten, with tungsten resource reserves of 5.2 million tons, accounting for 65% of the world's total reserves. Its output and export volume rank first in the world. The tungsten resource reserves of Hunan, Jiangxi and Henan provinces rank among the top three in China, among which the tungsten resource reserves of Hunan and Jiangxi provinces account for 55.48% of the country. Hunan is dominated by scheelite and Jiangxi is dominated by wolframite. Its wolframite resources account for 42.40% of the total wolframite resources in China. Tungsten is a rare high melting point metal, belonging to VIB group of the sixth period (the second long period) in the periodic table of elements. Tungsten is a silvery white metal that looks like steel. Tungsten has high melting point, low vapor pressure and low evaporation rate.
Application: used for manufacturing hard or high temperature resistant alloy, high-speed cutting special steel, as well as heat-resistant materials for bulb filament and aviation and aerospace industries.
