Introduction: liquid sodium chlorite is white or slightly yellowish green aqueous solution, alkaline and slightly hygroscopic. Soluble in water and alcohol. Sodium chlorite is relatively stable at room temperature and under normal storage conditions. It is easy to decompose and release chlorine dioxide gas in case of acid. It is easy to explode or burn when contacting, impacting and rubbing with sawdust, organic matter and reducing substances, which is toxic!
Uses: high efficiency bleach and oxidant. It is mainly used for bleaching pulp, paper and various fibers, such as cotton, hemp, reed and viscose fibers. It can also bleach granulated sugar, flour powder, starch, grease and wax. It is also used for leather depilation, surface treatment of some metals, drinking water purification and sewage treatment. It can be used as a discharge agent for yindanshilin dyeing.
