Introduction:
The pear moth is a worldwide fruit borer, belonging to Lepidoptera: Coleoptera, which is widely distributed and seriously harmful. Its control methods have always been mainly chemical control. The pheromone of the pear moth is a trace chemical substance secreted by the insects themselves, which is used to transmit information between insects. Through biomimetic technology, synthetic insect pheromones can be used to monitor and control pests.
Application:
Effects: studies have clarified the field use effect of the pheromone filaments of Oriental Pear moth in peach orchards in Northern Zhejiang Province. The control effect of the pheromone filaments has been comprehensively evaluated by investigating the stray rate, the control effect of boring shoots, the fruit boring rate, and the fruit quality.
The results showed that the sex pheromone of the fruit moth had a good control effect on the new shoots and fruits of peach trees damaged by the fruit moth, and it could continue to have an effect on the male adults of all generations within the validity period.
