Properties

Mycophenolate acid (MPA) is an active component of mycophenolate mofetil after metabolism in vivo. It is a powerful noncompetitive hypoxanthine nucleotide dehydrogenase (IMPDH) inhibitor. It can selectively inhibit the proliferation of T and B lymphocytes stimulated by mitogen and alloantigen, and inhibit the production of antibody by B lymphocytes.
