Nickel nitrate
Molecular formula: Ni (NO3) 2 · 6H2O
Molecular weight: 290.81
CAS Number: 13478-00-7
Physical and chemical properties: green crystalline, deliquescent, slightly weathered in dry air. The relative density is 2.05 and the melting point is 56.7 ℃. It is converted into anhydrous salt at 95 ℃ and decomposes at temperatures above 110 ℃ to form basic salt. Further heating produces a mixture of brownish black nickel trioxide and green nickel oxide. Easy to dissolve in water, liquid ammonia, ammonia water, ethanol, slightly soluble in acetone. The aqueous solution is acidic and can cause combustion and explosion when in contact with organic matter. Ingestion is harmful.
Usage: Mainly used for electroplating nickel, ceramic glazes, and the manufacture of other nickel salts and nickel containing catalysts.
Packaging: 25kg inner plastic outer woven bag packaging, or according to customer requirements.
