Properties

Pantothenic acid is a diagnostic drug and a contrast agent. However, pantothenic acid is not directly used for angiography, but is prepared into sodium pantothenate and meglumine pantothenate injection for clinical angiography, which is used for urography, cardiovascular, cerebrovascular and peripheral angiography. Refer to sodium diatrizoate and meglumine diatrizoate for usage. Those who are allergic to iodine should not use it.
