Appearance：Blue black powder. Insoluble in water and ethanol, slightly soluble in acetone, chloroform, o-chlorophenol, pyridine and toluene, soluble in tetrahydronaphthalene and xylene (red with red fluorescent solution). It is purple black in concentrated sulfuric acid and produces purple black precipitation after dilution. It is dark purple in alkaline solution and dark red in acid solution.
Synopsis: Vat blue BO is mainly used for dyeing cotton fiber with good affinity, fast coloring and medium levelness. Less for printing, more for color matching. It can be used for the dyeing of silk, viscose fiber, viscose cotton and Uygur cotton. It can also be used for the hot-melt dyeing of polyester cotton blended fabrics with disperse dyes in the same bath. It can also be used for the preparation of organic pigments.
