Properties

1,2-dichloropropane is mainly used in paints and inks. It is used to prepare paints, inks, diluents and PVC adhesives. It is an excellent organic solvent, which can replace the relevant uses of benzene such as xylene. It is used to make benzene free banana water and polyurethane diluents, which are soluble with organic solvents such as benzene, ketone and ester. As a by-product of Po produced by chlorohydrin method, it is the main raw material for thinner production and used as paint thinner.
