Properties: Vat green 1 to dark green powder. An organic compound used as a vat dye. It is a derivative of benzyl alcohol. Insoluble in water, ethanol, chloroform, toluene, slightly soluble in acetone, o-chlorophenol, nitrobenzene and pyridine (hot), soluble in tetrahydronaphthalene (warm). It is red and purple in concentrated sulfuric acid and produces green precipitation after dilution. It is blue in the alkaline solution of insurance powder and brilliant red in the acidic solution.
Application:VAT green 1, also known as brilliant green FFB, is one of the representative products of green vat dyes. It can be used for dyeing and printing of cotton fabrics, polyester / cotton and plastics. Reduced brilliant green FFB is used for cotton fiber dyeing and cotton printing.
