【 Character 】: white or whitish crystalline or crystalline powder that is odourless, bitter in taste, and subjected to light gradients. Soluble in water, slightly soluble in ethanol, and insoluble in trichloromethane or diethyl ether.
【 Action and use 】:
1. Mainly used in dermatitis and peripheral neuritis, etc.
2. When treating deficiencies such as vitamin B6 and nicotinic acid or nicotinamide clinically, vitamin B6 is often concomitantly co administered to improve efficacy;
3. This product is also used to treat exciting symptoms such as gastrointestinal reactions and cramps caused by poisoning by drugs such as cyanoacethydrazine, isoniazid, penicillamine and cycloserine.
4. Young animals grow slowly or stop when vitamin B6 is lacking. Animals such as pigs, dogs, and monkeys develop severe red blood cell, hypochromic anemia, and poor growth. Disturbances in glutamate metabolism in pigs cause glutamate to accumulate in the brain, stimulate the cerebral cortex, and cause focal to epileptic seizures in pigs. Chickens are highly excitable and have neurological symptoms, leg weakness, dermatitis, depilation, hair follicle hemorrhage, increased mortality, and decreased egg production and egg hatching rates when they lack vitamin B6.
5. It is widely used in dairy, beverage and various health products as a food additive and nutrient enhancer.
