Calcium nitrate
English name: Calcium nitrate
Molecular formula: Ca (NO3) 2 · 4H2O
Molecular weight: 236.15
CAS Number: 13477-34-4
Physical and chemical properties: colorless crystal, easily deliquescent, with two types of crystals, A-shaped crystal, relative density 1.896, melting point 39.7 ℃, decomposes when heated to 132 ℃. Dissolve in water, ethanol, and acetone. Insoluble in nitric acid, oxidizing, can cause combustion when in contact with flammable materials, corrosive, and can cause burns.
Usage: Used as an analytical reagent and as a chromogenic agent in the detection of diphenylamine by thin-layer chromatography. It is also used as fireworks material and in the electronics, instrumentation, and metallurgical industries.
Execution standard: HG/T 3787-2005
