Nylon 66 salt (ah salt for short) is produced by condensation reaction. Nylon 66 resin can be obtained by further polycondensation of nylon 66 salt. In addition, adipic acid can also react with alcohols

Adipate esters are produced and used as plasticizers, synthetic lubricants and polyester polyols.
