Cyclohexanol

Introduction:

Cyclohexanol is an important chemical raw material. It is mainly used in the production of adipic acid, hexamethylene diamine, cyclohexanone and caprolactam. It can also be used as a stabilizer of soap, disinfectant soap and descaling emulsion. It is used as a solvent for rubber, resin, nitrofiber, metal soap, oil, ester and ether, a dopant for coatings, a degreasing agent, film remover, dry cleaning agent and polishing agent for leather. Cyclohexanol is also the raw material of fiber finishing agent, pesticide and plasticizer. Cyclohexanol reacts with phosgene to obtain cyclohexyl chloroformate, which is the intermediate of initiator dicyclohexyl peroxide.

It can be miscible with ethanol, ethyl acetate, linseed oil, aromatics, ether, acetone, chloroform and other organic solvents, slightly soluble in water. Explosion limit of mixing with air: 1.52% - 11.1% (volume). It has a smell similar to camphor and is hygroscopic.
